I was born in the Solomon Islands. My parents immigrated there from China, and despite having little, they worked hard to send me to school in Australia for a better education.

Because of this, I never take things for granted and always show my appreciation for every opportunity I’m given through hard work and dedication. This approach helped me make a successful career change from finance and convinced one of the best ad agencies to hire me.

I love what I do and find it most rewarding when working on ideas that help solve problems. Some of the work featured in this year’s award shows that I wish I had been part of include RooBadge, Signs from Heaven and Hidden Eye Test.

I’ll always be chasing opportunities to make work like this.
